No. MunicipalCMS is available only as a hosted solution, meaning that the website must reside on our MunicipalCMS servers.  This arrangement allows us to provide backups, updates, and upgrades quickly and efficiently.

No. The simple MunicipalCMS user-interface allows anyone with simple word processing skills and a computer connected to the internet to manage a website, make updates, revise content, add or delete pages, or upload photos. Users need no programming skills whatsoever.

Yes.  MunicipalCMS is available as a non-public extranet solution. This password-protected website allows restricted access to memos, documents, and notices intended only for staff.

Additionally, we offer MunicipalCMS Intranet sites which are locked down by IP address. This means that access to the intranet site is allowed only by certain IP addresses.

MunicipalCMS sets no limit to the number of user accounts a client may establish for staff members.

All edits, upon being saved in the administrative area, are ready to be posted to the public website immediately.  This does not mean, however, that all saved edits must be made live on the public website at that time.  MunicipalCMS allows users to save their work and, when appropriate, turn the edited section or item "off" so that it is not yet made public.  This feature allows users to work ahead and decide later when to publish the edits.

MunicipalCMS provides an optional Approval Cycle to help larger organizations maintain control over their websites. With the Approval Cycle, users can be granted instant publishing privileges or they may be required to have another designated staff member approve their updates before the page can be published to the site.
